Mrs. Christina Canada-Clark
Grade/Subject: Special Education Grades 3-5
My name Christina Canada-Clark. I grew up in Central Florida where my grandfather and father worked at NASA. I graduated from Titusville High School in 1993 and attended the University
of Central Florida where I obtained a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education in 2006.
I moved to Georgia in 2010 with my family in order to teach in Cherokee County Schools. I currently hold a GA teaching certificate in Early Childhood Education P-5, ESOL Endorsement, Special Education Cognitive Reading K-8, Math K-8, Language Arts K-8, Science P-5, and Social Studies P-5,Special Education- Adaptive (K-12, and Special Education Consultative (K-12). My past experiences include teaching Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th General Education and Special Education Resource/Co-Taught Classes. I have also had the opportunity to hold multiple school leadership support positions as an Academic Coach-Literacy Specialist,
Special Education Coordinator, and Special Education Director.
I am married to Mickey Paul Clark and have 3 wonderful children. Aaron is 19 yrs old and attends Chattahoochee Technical College, Noah is 15 years old and a Freshman at Pickens High School and Carleigh is 9 years old and attends the 4th grade at Hill City Elementary.
I enjoy spending time with my family and attending our kids sporting events. Noah plays football for PHS, Travel Baseball, and Basketball. Carleigh is a JYSA Cheerleader and plays Travel Softball for the 10U North GA Nitros.
I have been very blessed to be given the opportunity to be apart of Pickens County Schools and the wonderful staff of Hill City Elementary where I am able to give back to the community in which we live.
My personal strengths that I can contribute in the classroom are compassion, patience, diligence, encouragement, and a willingness to try something new to help students understand
a concept they may be struggling with. I can recall my eccentric teachers the most because
they made learning fun and exciting. They challenged me to do my very best and accepted nothing less.
My greatest professional successes are those of my students. When they succeed, I succeed! Giving students the skills necessary to be successful in every challenge they face in the classroom, and in life, is the reason I teach. Teaching has ignited a desire to touch the lives of young people and change the future. I love learning and I will enjoy sharing all the things we learn this year.
